Five Weeks Old

Time for Introductions!

This is Rosebud (farm name), she is curious yet seems to like to stay within her limits.  She is still available for adoption. Though there is not a lot of difference in each pups size, she was born the smallest of the litter.

Ruby (farm name) is very curious and is ready to explore beyond the limits.  So much so that I had a hard time getting a good shot of her!   She has two white identifying marks on her back paws just like the one her momma has on her right paw (one of two possible markings for Labradors) and she is also still available for adoption.

Mickey has been reserved!   He is curious about his environment, but seems more interested in what we are doing and interacting with us. He has been showing more of a chill and cautious temperament.  He's been quick to settle and cuddle in during our individual play times, but also so fun to play with.

Ladybird has also been reserved!  She has had some occasions of cuddling in, but we are seeing her curiosity and playfulness come alive during playtime.  I have a fun video clip of her that I'll post on our Facebook page. (Because posting videos on FB is easier than on here.)

We are still calling Shadow by his farm name as we wait for his new pet guardians to tell us his adopted name.  We are so excited that he will go with his grandmother Katie, the very home where our sire, Choco, was whelped!   He has tended to be on the calmer side during individual play time.  Or maybe it's just that he takes his time to stop and observe.   You can see how he is amazingly looking at the camera in all three shots!  But there is also plenty of 'play' in him.

Katie (farm name, named after Choco's mom) still available for adoption and is ready to explore the world with and contagious eagerness!  Our girls say she's the cutest and the most distractible.  She's very playful and curious about her surroundings.

Molly (farm name) has just been reserved as well!  She has stood out from the rest of the girls due to her persistence.  She was always the first out of the kiddie pool where they stayed before and was not afraid to go sniff around where she's never been.  She also, like her mom and Ruby has an identifying white mark on both her back paws.

Smokey (farm name) is still available for adoption!  He is the most chill of all the pups yet still plays well.  He is the first born and the biggest boy.  He is so much like our Choco in temperament.   He is the only one with a white mark on his chest (the second of the two possible markings for Labradors).  He was being so good and still to make it easy for me to get these great pictures!

I snapped this one to show how I was being tugged on all sides by these playful pups.

There is so much that changes from week to week.  The day after last weeks post they officially outgrew their kiddie pool and were moved to our outdoor space.  Here they have more room to run and play and it's easier to keep their space clean.  Here's some shots of their new space!
I am also very proud to say that after 3 days here our pups have learned to take their 'business' to the plastic bin on the side!  Yay for you as new pet guardians because your pup will be easier to house/crate train, and yay for me because I'm not having to clean up so much everyday.

I just felt like adding this shot of Choco and Jetta because they were so funny watching for whatever critters I might drive out of the garden as I picked green beans.

Soon we will be introducing them to new experiences such as adding a crate to their space, wading in water, a car ride, as well as new surface like carpet.  However, we will not be allowing them to play on grass just yet.  They will need to wait till they get their shots before this happens.
