THE Choco (Chaco)

We had a Saturday morning World Cup party to watch the US team and three of our friends who hadn't been to our place in a while noticed Choco and asked, 

"Is this The Choco?  

As in The Choco who they all three knew as a pup from when they worked at a boy's addiction treatment center.   (Each resident is given a puppy to care for on their recovery journey.  Ace as he was known then, was not able to go home with his resident when he graduated.  So one of our other friends who worked there found him a home with us!)   And we've been in love ever since.  

Such a fun moment to capture as they marveled in him as an old man dog.  

 

6 weeks & Adopted!

Both pups are adopted!    There, I can finally share the surprise!   Merry Christmas!  

We're keeping Heidi and our friends are keeping Hazel (now known as Holly)

We are VERY excited to be able to stay so connected to Jetta and Choco's last litter of puppies.

Nearly 5 weeks old

At this age it is really tricky to get a decent shot of constantly moving puppies with the entanglement of floppy ears, fast growing sharp claws, kids, and even parent dogs getting in the way.   We've moved them into their bigger climate controlled space where it's easier to keep their space clean and warm.   They're weaning slowly from mama's milk and are now on 2 softened meals a day.   Have fun with all the attempted pics!
